The Methodist Church
St Ives Methodist Church is part of the worldwide Methodist Church. You can visit the website of the Methodist Church of Great Britain to find out more.
The country is split up into regional areas called districts. We are part of the East Anglia District. Their website includes a classified directory-style listing for every Methodist Church in the district - that's around 250 churches. You can visit our listing here!
Each district is made up of a number of circuits. Each circuit is a group of Methodist Churches over a smaller geographical area - which may include city, town or village churches of varying shapes and sizes.
St Ives Methodist Church belongs to the St Neots & Huntingdon circuit. The circuit reaches from Tempsford in Bedfordshire up to Sawtry towards Peterborough. There are fourteen regular locations for worship within the circuit.
Each circuit has an overseeing Superintendant Minister, who is also based within one of the churches within the circuit. For our circuit, this is Rev David Shaw who is the Minister at Huntingdon Methodist Church.
